About the space:

A play space including covered verandah with differing, slippery floor surfaces, minimal natural elements, large expanse of artificial lawn surrounded by a huge brick building wall and high fenced entrance.

Approximate size

20m x 11m

Why our nominated space should be chosen to be re-designed and developed:

We support nature play however have limited resources. We are inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy but need an appropriate learning environment to do this. We also want to embed sustainable practices.

How our organisation would benefit from and use the re-designed and developed space

This would set an example for the rest of school about what is possible and may inspire redevelopment for the rest of the schools outdoor learning spaces. Community groups use our school hall and ELC garden on weekends.
